Autoconstrucción: The book
This publication outlines Abraham Cruzvillegas' interest in autoconstrucción (self construction) as a housing construction method and also as an aesthetic form. The book gathers many of his works created by the mid- 90´s, in which he used artisanal objects made by his father, and his recent sculptures made with found materials that share as starting point improvisational processes. Also, the publication reviews the first full-length film of the Mexican artist: an abstract portrait of Ajusco, his childhood neighborhood.
